Summer Chai Masala:
This blend is designed to be light and refreshing, perfect for warm summer days. It features a dominant note of fennel seeds, known for their cooling properties, along with a warming touch of ginger. Green cardamom adds a refreshing lift, while cassia and nutmeg provide a subtle sweetness.
Winter Chai Masala:
This blend is crafted to be warming and comforting, ideal for cozy winter evenings. It features a higher proportion of warming spices like cassia, cloves, and star anise. Green cardamom and nutmeg add depth and complexity, while black pepper provides a subtle kick.
Directions for Use:
For the perfect cup of chai, follow these simple steps:
1. Boil water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a saucepan.
2. Add spices and milk: Add 1 teaspoon of Zaycca's Chai Masala (adjust according to your taste), 1 teaspoon of loose leaf black tea or 1 teabag, and 1 cup of milk to the boiling water.
3. Simmer: Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse the milk and water.
4. Add sugar: Add sugar to taste.
5. Boil and strain: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for another minute. Strain the chai into cups and enjoy!
Tips:
* For a stronger chai, increase the amount of chai masala or steep for longer.
* For a spicier chai, add a pinch of ground black pepper.
* You can also use Zaycca's Chai Masala to make iced chai. Simply follow the instructions above and then chill the chai for several hours.
* Experiment with different milks and sweeteners to find your perfect cup of chai.
